Who We Are & What We Do
The RF Junkies are a small group of ham radio operators formed in 2013. We have a keen interest in not only chasing DX but actually being the DX. We come from various backgrounds. We come from various parts of the United States. We are a fairly informal group. I think for the most part, we are mostly all of sound mind.
Other than our HF radio addiction, each of us enjoy traveling. Dxpeditioning is simply just the intersection of the love to travel and the love of Dxing.
On our trips, we certainly try to put as many contacts in the log as we can. With that said, we don't really have any "written" operator schedule. we have found we don't have to do that. There always seems to be somebody ready to hop in the OPS chair when somebody gets up out of it. We do pay attention to propagation forecasts (VOACAP). We are generally aware of what areas of the globe are in most need of our DXCC and make every attempt to satisfy that need.
We understand the teamwork needed to make a dxpedition successful from a logistics and operations standpoint. We ask that you honor the DX Code of Conduct and keep the pile ups orderly. Please NO "Band Police". You may think you are helping. But you're not.
